ALTAR GUILD
Altar Guild members set up the sanctuary for all services, including the Eucharist, weddings, funerals, and special liturgies. This involves arranging the altar linens, setting out the chalice and paten, preparing the bread and wine, and ensuring that everything needed for worship is in place. They supervise decoration with flowers and greenery for regular worship as well as holidays. After the service, they clean and store sacred items, assuring that the sanctuary remains in good order.

COFFEE HOSTS
Coffee hosts provide refreshments for the coffee hour after the 10:30 AM service.
They are responsible for bringing and serving light refreshments as well as making and serving coffee. They clean up the kitchen after coffee hour. Servers work as a pair, following a pre-set schedule.

LAY EUCHARISTIC MINISTERS
Lay Eucharistic Ministers (LEMs) are specially trained and licensed lay people who administer communion during the service. They usually work with the rector during communion. LEMs follow a printed schedule, working one Sunday every few weeks.
Lay Eucharistic Members are often licensed to also serve as Lay Eucharisticc Visitors (LEVs).

LAY EUCHARISTIC VISITORS
Lay Eucharistic Visitors (LEVs) are specially trained and licensed lay people who take the consecrated bread and wine from the main worship service to members of the congregation who are unable to attend church due to illness, infirmity, or other serious reasons. They lead a brief service from the prayerbook. LEVs remind homebound members that they are part of the church family. Please add your name if you’d like to join.

E-Males Men’s Group
The Episcopal Males (E-Males) is a men’s group, offering fellowship and service to St. Paul’s. We meet for breakfast every second Saturday of the month at 8:30 AM at Gus’s Family Restaurant. Occasionally, at the music director’s request, we sing a selected gospel song during Offertory at the 10:30 AM Sunday service. The E-Males serve St. Paul’s at dinners, fundraising, groundskeeping, and maintenance.

Lay Readers
During the 10:30 AM Sunday service, a lay reader stands at the lectern and reads the appointed Lessons, Psalm, Epistle and the Prayers of the People. Lay readers follow a printed schedule, reading one Sunday every few weeks.

Mary and Martha Episcopal Sisters
The Mary and Martha Episcopal Sisters (also called the M & M’s) meet periodically for fellowship/luncheons. Among their many activities are traveling to special events together and hosting a special fund-raising dinner each year. The M&Ms also host hospitality events.
We welcome all women who are members of St. Paul’s to take part in our group and come enjoy the fellowship of your sisters in Christ.

Ushers
Ushers work in pairs during the 10:30 AM Sunday service and during special services, greeting arriving parishioners, helping them to a seat, and distributing bulletins. During the service they silently count communicants, passing the count to the Lay Eucharistic Minister. Ushers assist communicants at the choir step. After the service, ushers tidy up, collecting bulletins, etc.
